Druv Rathee finds himself in trouble again and this time, according to a senior source on Saturday, Maharashtra's cyber police have opened a case against well-known YouTuber Dhruv Rathee after a parody user allegedly posted a false message on X regarding the daughter of Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. According to the state cyber department, the account @dhruvrahtee stated on X that Birla's daughter had passed the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) test without taking it.

Controversy erupts!

Following these allegations, a complaint was filed, leading to legal action against Rathee. The charges include defamation and violation of the Information Technology Act, underscoring the serious nature of the accusations. The authorities have stated that they are investigating the matter thoroughly to determine the extent of Rathee's involvement.

The X bio of the account reads, “This is the fan and parody account and not affiliated with the original account of @dhruv_rathee. I was not impersonating anyone. This account is Parody. Following a complaint from a Birla relative, the police filed a complaint against the YouTuber under the IT Act, Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) provisions for defamation, malicious insult with the purpose of provoking breach of peace, and statement leading to mischief. "We are examining the problem," the official stated in response to criticism that the purportedly phony message was posted by a parody account rather than Mr. Rathee's. "since advised by @MahaCyber1, I have erased all my posts and comments about Anjali Birla. I will like to apologize since I was unaware of the facts and copied someone else's tweets and spread them," the spoof account tweeted again on Saturday.

May the truth prevail

Dhruv Rathee has vehemently denied any involvement in creating or operating the parody account. In a statement released on his social media platforms, Rathee asserted that he had no connection to the account and that the allegations were baseless. He expressed his willingness to cooperate with the investigation to clear his name.

Rathee's followers and supporters have rallied behind him, expressing their belief in his innocence and condemning the allegations as an attempt to malign his reputation. Many have pointed out that Rathee has often been a target of criticism and controversy due to his outspoken views, suggesting that this incident may be part of a larger effort to discredit him.
