National news: Just days after reportedly exposing corruption by a local contractor, YouTuber and journalist Mukesh Chandrakar was found murdered in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. His decomposed body was found in the septic tank of contractor Suresh Chandrakar's property. Mukesh had gone missing on January 1, and his brother had filed a missing person's report with the police.
Police investigations tracked Mukesh's last mobile location to the contractor's premises. A search of the property revealed a suspiciously newly cast septic tank cover. Breaking it open, authorities found Mukesh's body, which was identified by his family through his clothing. While the contractor is currently the prime suspect, the police stated that his exact role in the crime is yet to be confirmed. The body has been sent for postmortem examination.
