Rahul Gandhi, a prominent leader of the Congress party, addressed a public gathering in Banswara, Rajasthan, where he put forward several significant proposals aimed at empowering the youth. Among these announcements was a pledge to provide ample government job opportunities, providing 30 lakh vacancies.

Speaking at the event, Gandhi highlighted the impact of previous initiatives like the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MNREGA), emphasizing the importance of ensuring the right to employment. He highlighted the need to extend such rights to apprenticeship opportunities for all Indian youth, including graduates and diploma holders.

Gandhi proposed a scheme where every eligible individual would receive a one-year apprenticeship after completing their education, along with a stipend of Rs 1 lakh.

During his address, Gandhi also raised issues of social justice, pointing out the underrepresentation of marginalized communities in key institutions and budget allocations. He stressed the need for greater inclusivity and participation of Dalits, tribals, OBCs, and minorities, who collectively constitute a significant portion of India's population.

Why President of India was not invited to Ram Mandir's inauguration? Rahul Gandhi explains...

The Congress leader pointed out the instances of social inequality, citing the example of a tribal President being allegedly denied entry to the Ram temple inauguration ceremony. He argued that such incidents exemplify the existence of two distinct realities within India—one representing the affluent minority and the other comprising the majority struggling with poverty and unemployment.

Under the banner of 'Young Justice,' Gandhi outlined a series of proposals aimed at addressing the concerns and aspirations of the youth:

1. Recruitment Trust: Promising the filling of 30 lakh government job vacancies to boost employment opportunities.
2. First Job Confirmation: Guaranteeing placements for diploma holders or college graduates below 25 years, offering a stipend of Rs 1 lakh for one year.
3. Preventing Paper Leaks: Committing to enact strict laws to safeguard the future of millions of youth by preventing paper leaks in examinations.
4. Social Security in the Gig Economy: Ensuring legal guarantees of social security for gig workers.
5. Yuvaroshni Startup Fund: Allocating Rs 5,000 crore as a startup fund for all districts across the country, with eligibility extended to youth below 40 years of age.
