Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta recently marked the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) record-breaking victory in Delhi after 27 years by visiting a Purvanchal BJP Morcha event. Speaking to party workers, Gupta called the victory the product of years of hard work, perseverance, and commitment. "This victory is the fruit of years of hard work, perseverance, and commitment," she said.

Gupta compared BJP's long political battle in Delhi to Lord Ram's 14-year exile, saying, "Lord Ram's exile concluded in 14 years, but our exile continued for decades. After years of struggle, we are today celebrating this historic victory." She complimented the party workers on their unfaltering commitment, giving credit to their efforts as the reason behind this triumph.

Workers as party's Hanuman

During her address, Gupta made a comparison of party workers with Lord Hanuman. "Regardless of whether you are from Ram's village or Sita's village, I want to give you the tag of Hanuman. It is your hard work as BJP's Hanuman that has resulted in today's victory," she said, praising their efforts towards the party's success.

Fighting corruption and ushering in a new era

Gupta also accused former Congress and Aam Aadmi Party governments of corruption. Recalling BJP's ordeal, she stated, "There were so many Ravans that it was difficult to choose which Ravan's arm to cut off and which Lanka to set on fire. But we fought relentlessly against corruption." She added that this win is the start of a new era for Delhi under BJP's rule.

Commitment to development

Gupta assured that the BJP is committed to fulfilling Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a "Developed Delhi." She expressed confidence in the party’s ability to meet public expectations and urged workers to continue their dedicated efforts toward Delhi’s progress.
