Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to unveil Phase 1 of the India International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), Yashobhomi, in Dwarka on September 17. YashoBhoomi, spread over 8.9 lakh square meters, will be among the world’s largest MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities.

This impressive convention center, spanning 73,000 square meters, features 15 convention rooms, including the main auditorium and the Grand Ballroom, with a combined capacity of hosting 11,000 delegates. The convention centre boasts the largest LED media facade in India.

YashoBhoomi prides itself on having one of the world’s largest exhibition halls, spanning over 1.07 lakh square meters, suitable for exhibitions, trade fairs, and business events. It includes a grand foyer with a distinctive copper ceiling designed to filter in natural light through skylights. The foyer houses essential support areas like media rooms, VVIP lounges, cloak facilities, and a visitor information center.

The facility embraces Indian culture with features such as terrazzo floors with brass inlay resembling rangoli patterns, suspended sound-absorbent metal cylinders, and patterned lit-up walls. It also prioritizes sustainability, with a state-of-the-art wastewater treatment system, rainwater harvesting, rooftop solar panels, and Green Cities Platinum certification from CII’s Indian Green Building Council (IGBC).

The Delhi Metro will increase the operational speed of trains on the Airport Express Line, reducing travel time. YashoBhoomi will be connected to the Delhi Airport Metro Express line through a new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25. The journey from New Delhi to YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25 will take approximately 21 minutes.
