New Delhi: The murder case of NCP leader Baba Siddiqui in Mumbai has taken a shocking turn, revealing connections to Bahraich district in Uttar Pradesh. Two of the shooters involved in the assassination, Dharmaraj Kashyap and Shivkumar Gautam, hail from the Kaiserganj area of Bahraich. According to family members, the pair initially traveled to Mumbai seeking better job opportunities but somehow became affiliated with the notorious Lawrence Bishnoi gang.
Shivkumar Gautam, also known as Shiva, has gained notoriety on social media, particularly for his Instagram profile, which features him flaunting a gangster lifestyle. One reel showcases the dialogue "Powerful People Make Places Powerful" from the popular film KGF, while another features a Bhojpuri song with lyrics celebrating gangster culture. In one of his posts before the murder, he boasted, “Yaar Tera Gangster Hai Jani,” indicating his desire for a flashy lifestyle. Following his connection to the murder, the views on his reels have surged, attracting widespread attention.
Shivkumar and Dharmaraj, residents of Gandara village in Kaiserganj, reportedly collaborated with Gurmail Baljit Singh from Haryana in the execution of Baba Siddiqui. While Dharmaraj and Gurmail have been arrested, Shiva remains at large. Despite coming from humble backgrounds and initially traveling to Pune for labor work, Shiva appeared to lead a double life, projecting a gangster persona online.
In an interview, Shiva's mother expressed her confusion regarding her son’s activities, stating that they had limited communication since his arrival in Maharashtra. She lamented, “I don’t know what my son did and how he did it.”
