The Pakistan foreign office received strong rejection from India regarding their claim that India had involvement in the Jaffar Express hijacking in Balochistan.Randhir Jaiswal of the MEA has stated that India completely disputes "baseless" Pakistani allegations. Every nation understands which region holds the central position of global terrorist operations.

Balochistan Liberation Army

The government of Pakistan must focus on internal issues before trying to blame external entities for their domestic shortcomings. Director General of the Armed Forces Public Relations Major General Asif Ghafoor confirmed that Pakistani intelligence had evidence of armed gunmen who attacked the Jaffar Express maintaining contact with leaders based across the border in Afghanistan. Indian involvement with terrorism has been traced inside Pakistani territory. According to Shafqat Ali Khan during his weekly press briefing the terrorists involved in the Jaffar Express attack kept in touch with their handlers and ring leaders located in Afghanistan. The MEA issued this message following Pakistan security forces' announcement to have obliterated all 33 members of the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) during the Jaffar Express hijacking of over 400 passengers.

Pakistani Army failed to publish evidence through photographs or video

The Pakistani Army failed to publish evidence through photographs or video documentation of their stated “successful operation”. The rebel BLA accused both military and intelligence agencies of concealing the truth about the reported defeat. BLA spokesperson Jeeyand Baloch declared that ongoing battles continue to take place across multiple operational areas. According to Baloch the state has "'abandoned its soldiers' through its lack of support which left them to remain captive as hostages."After seizing the train several BLA combatants released women and children together with elderly persons to the Pakistani media from among the freed passengers. The BLA demands Pakistani authorities give free access to journalists and impartial observers at the conflict location. The group uses reports of military opposition to independent monitoring as proof of military “defeat”.
