The Japanese ambassador to India, Hiroshi Suzuki, arrived in India last year and has become a social media sensation for his love for Indian food. The videos of the ambassador enjoying Indian delicacies have gone viral on multiple occasions, showcasing his genuine love for the country’s diverse and flavorful dishes.

Ambassador Suzuki has gained attention on several occasions as videos of the 61-year-old diplomat relishing Indian delicacies went viral, showcasing his authentic love for the country’s rich culinary traditions.

In a recent escapade, the Japanese Ambassador was accompanied by his wife, Eiko Suzuki and a Hindi-speaking Japanese YouTuber, Mayo, who is a prolific content creator on several social media platforms. paid a visit to Sarojini Nagar, one of New Delhi’s renowned destinations with bustling roadside flea markets and delicious street foods.

Ambassador Suzuki shared a video of their visit on the microblogging platform X (formerly known as Twitter) with a caption that read, “Wonderful, desi experience with Hindi-speaking Japanese YouTuber Mayo san! Aloo tikki dijiye”.

The video captures Ambassador Suzuki enjoying street food, exploring various shops, and engaging in lively conversations with both locals and shop owners. The heartwarming video has received an outpouring of positive feedback from social media users who applaud Suzuki’s sincere interest in Indian culture and his willingness to connect with people.

This is not the first time Mr. Suzuki has captivated social media with his culinary adventures. In June of this year, Prime Minister Narendra Modi shared one of Ambassador Suzuki’s videos, saying, “This is one contest you may not mind losing, Mr. Ambassador. Good to see you enjoying India’s culinary diversity and also presenting it in such an innovative manner. Keep the videos coming!”

Earlier, the Japanese ambassador shared a few videos of himself relishing golgappas in the Prime Minister’s parliamentary constituency, Varanasi.
