International Women's Day : On the occasion of International Women's Day, the Vande Bharat Express (train no. 22223) from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) to Sainagar Shirdi was operated by an all-women crew. This is the first time that Vande Bharat Express has been operated by an all-women crew, which is a significant achievement towards women empowerment in Indian Railways.
Women employees took charge of the train
All the women personnel involved in this historic journey performed their duties well. The train was operated by women loco pilot and assistant loco pilot, while the train manager, ticket examiner (TTE), and on-board catering staff were all women. This step of Indian Railways shows that women are no less than men in any field and they can face every challenge. This initiative will not only inspire women employees but will also encourage gender equality in the society.
Railway officials extend Best Wishes
Railway officials expressed pride on the occasion and congratulated all the women employees. Officials said that this initiative will inspire other women employees to take up leadership roles in the future.

The entire command of the Vande Bharat Express that started from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus was in the hands of women. Train number 22223 Sai Nagar Shirdi Vande Bharat Express departed from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in which all the crew members are women. From loco pilot, assistant loco pilot, train manager, ticket examiner to catering staff, all are women.
