A 35-year-old man was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly killing his 50-year-old live-in-partner here over suspicion that she was also involved with other men. This incident took place allegedly following an argument over him consuming alcohol. The accused slept beside corpse till morning, only to wake up and realise what had happened.
The accused himself called the police and narrated the entire incident. Police reached the crime scene. The accused was arrested. There the accused confessed to his crime and told what had happened last night. The incident took place in Sector-42 area of Noida. The name of the accused is Gautam Kumar. He is originally from West Bengal and is a daily wage laborer by profession. He came to Noida a few years ago.
Vineeta's husband had died a few years ago. Due to which she was living alone in the slum of Sector-42. An affair started between Gautam and her. And both of them started living together in a house. Gautam started loving her so much that he even left his wife for Vineeta. But when he came to know that Vineeta had relations with other men besides him, he could not tolerate it. Due to this, fights started between the two.
At present, the police has arrested the accused Gautam under Section 304 of the Indian Penal Code. However, further investigation in the matter is going on.
