Woman found murdered in Andhra’s Baptala, rape suspected

According to the officials, the body of the woman was found near the railway track at Sitapuram near Epurupalem village under Chirala Rural police station in the early hours of Friday. The police suspect that the woman was rape before being killed.

In yet another incident of murder, a woman was found dead in a field near Bapatla, a town in the Guntur district of Andhra Pradesh. The police suspect that the woman was a victim of rape and murder. The incident has sparked an investigation, and authorities are working to gather evidence and identify the perpetrators.

According to the officials, the body of the woman was found near the railway track at Sitapuram near Epurupalem village under Chirala Rural police station in the early hours of Friday.

Local law enforcement is conducting a thorough examination of the crime scene and has appealed to the public for any information that could assist in solving the case. Prime-facie it seems that woman was raped before being killed. Meanwhile, the police have initiated a manhunt to arrest the accused. Reportedly, five teams have been made to track him down. 

This tragic event has brought attention to the ongoing issues of violence against women in the region, prompting calls for increased safety measures and more stringent law enforcement efforts to prevent such crimes.

Meanwhile, condemning the heinous crime act, chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu has announced the ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh for the family of the woman and Home Minister V Anitha after visiting the residence of the victim assured of the stringent punishment for the accused at the earliest.
