Amarnath Yatra
National News: The holy cave of Amarnath has a special place in the heart of every Shiva devotee. But the recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam has raised many questions. Will the Amarnath Yatra be safe this time? Will the devotees be able to see Baba without fear? To answer these questions, Jammu and Kashmir Deputy Chief Minister Surendra Chaudhary has given a strong statement, which not only encourages the devotees, but also underlines the Atal cultural spirit of Kashmir.
The terrorist attack in Pahalgam shoked the entire country. 26 people lost their lives in this attack, mostly tourists. Deputy Chief Minister Surendra Chaudhary made it clear that the attack would not have any impact on the Amarnath Yatra. He said that Amarnath Yatra is a religious event where people come to visit according to their reverence and wish, like people go to Kedarnath Yatra. The shadow of terror cannot shake our traditions and the foundation of devotion."
The government is leaving no stone unturned about this sacred journey to be held from 3 July to 9 August 2025. Chaudhary assured that the journey would be completely safe. Taizers will be increased at base camps like Pahalgam and Baltal. Drone, electronic surveillance and 24 -hour monitoring of the Central Command Center will ensure that every devotee is safe. Generally one and a half lakh security personnel are deployed, but this time their number can be increased further.
There is hospitable and brotherhood in the soil of Kashmir. Chaudhary mentioned the local resident Adil, who sacrificed his life to save the tourists. Deputy Chief Minister Surendra Chaudhary said that despite the attack in Pahalgam, the rich culture and brotherhood of Kashmir will remain strong. Kashmiri people will welcome devotees this time like every year." This is the feeling of Kashmir, which encourages every Shiva devotee to reach Baba Barfani.
Questioning Pakistan's role in terrorist activities, Chaudhary took a tough stand. He said, "Islamabad should think why his name is taken every time? The roots of terrorism come out from there." He appealed to Pakistan to come on the path of peace and harmony, so that the beauty and spirituality of Kashmir could flourish without any fear.
Pahalgam attack has definitely made some impact on tourism. Some bookings have been canceled, but the government aims to come to Kashmir without fear. Chaudhary said, "We don't want tourists to return. We want them to complete their journey, which they dreamed." Along with the Amarnath Yatra, the tourism of Kashmir will also return to track, because welcome and love resides in the soul of Kashmir.
