New Delhi: A shocking incident in Bareilly has surfaced where a group of alleged goons assaulted and threatened women over a property dispute. The attackers reportedly entered a rented house, beat up the women, tore their clothes, and issued chilling threats reminiscent of the Kolkata RG Kar College incident. Baradari police have registered a case against eight individuals, including three men from Kashmir, and the investigation is underway.Background of the disputeThe dispute centers around a house in the Baradari area that has been rented for over 40 years. According to one of the victims, her mother had rented the house from Iqrar Hussain, Imran Hussain, and Gudde, sons of the late Shahadat Hussain. These men, who now reside in Mohalla Kot, have allegedly been pressuring the tenants to vacate the property. The situation escalated when a man named Tausif, in collusion with the landlords, began demanding the house be vacated.The Incident On the night of August 11th, the accused forcibly entered the house, assaulted the women, and molested them. The situation was defused only when passersby intervened. Despite a police complaint, the harassment continued. On August 20th, more attackers entered the house and threatened that the situation could worsen, drawing comparisons to the notorious RG Kar College incident in Kolkata.The victims, now living in fear, have complained to the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) and filed a formal report at the Baradari police station. The Baradari police have assured the victims that they are actively investigating the case. Search operations are underway to apprehend the accused, based on the details provided in the complaint. Meanwhile, the women remain in a state of panic as they await justice.
