Former minister Sudhakar Kashyap invented a unique way of seeking votes for SP candidate and former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. In a program organized near Fuguha village, he made people take off their slippers and shoes and made a bundle out of it and placed it on his head. He climbed the stage and administered the oath to vote and said that he will provide justice by keeping the dust of your feet on my head. The video of placing a bundle of shoes and slippers on the head is now going viral on social media.

General elections are being held in India from April 19 to June 1, 2024 in seven phases, to elect 543 members of the Lok Sabha. The votes will be counted and the results will be declared on June 4, 2024.
