Will Arvind Kejriwal get relaxation in excise police case? Delhi high court to hear plea today

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister of Delhi is scheduled for the hearing of plea challenging his arrest and the order of remand passed by the trial court on March 22. According to the sources, Justice Swarana Kant Sharma will hear the plea at 10:30 AM. 

Kejriwal was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate on March 21 in connection with Delhi excise policy case. Shortly after the high court denied the Delhi chief minister's request for protection from the federal anti-money laundering agency's coercive measures, the ED detained him. Arvind Kejriwal was placed under remand in the ED's custody till March 28 by the trial court on Friday.

The Delhi chief minister before this moved the high court quashing and setting aside all the proceedings, including summons against him. 

Meanwhile, the lawyers’ community has decided to demonstrate in all the courts of Delhi on March 27, against Kejriwal’s arrest.
