New Delhi: In a significant development, the Katghar police in Moradabad have apprehended Tantrik Kanhaiya in connection with the murder of businessman Anil Chaudhary. Kanhaiya, who had been evading arrest, reportedly confessed during interrogation that he orchestrated the murder under pressure from the victims wife, Tanu. The motive behind the crime, according to police, stemmed from illicit relations and a conspiracy hatched between Tanu and Kanhaiya.Details of the murder plotAnil Chaudhary, a brass businessman residing in Gadikhan under the jurisdiction of Katghar police station, was brutally murdered at his home. The crime took place on Saturday night when assailants attacked him with a knife while his wife, Tanu, who allegedly plotted the murder, remained unharmed. The police investigation revealed that Tanu had allegedly drugged Anil with sleeping capsules before the attack to render him unconscious.Arrest of co-conspiratorsEarlier this week, the police also arrested Mohit, an accomplice involved in the attack, and Tanu herself. Mohit disclosed details during interrogation, implicating Kanhaiya as the mastermind behind the crime. Kanhaiya, known for his association with occult practices and residing in Nadhosh area, had reportedly developed a relationship with Tanu during her visits to his spiritual gatherings.Conspiracy unraveledAccording to police sources, Kanhaiya and Tanu conspired together to eliminate Anil Chaudhary. They enlisted Mohit and another accomplice, Amod Gupta, to carry out the gruesome act. On the night of the murder, Mohit and Amod allegedly entered Anils residence and fatally attacked him while Tanu purportedly illuminated the scene with a mobile torch.Police action and captureThe breakthrough in the case came after intensive police efforts, culminating in the arrest of Kanhaiya from Gulabbari toll. Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Satpal Antil confirmed the arrest and highlighted the collaborative efforts that led to unraveling the conspiracy behind Anil Chaudharys tragic demise.
