Everyday we come across several cases of Gender Biased Laws and Special Rights to Women. Such cases throw light on how loopholes in the system are exploited by some women to gain advantage citing their gender. Now, in a recent incident, a woman just after celebrating first wedding anniversary wanted to take 'divorce' from her husband. However, before this, on the second day of the marriage, the wife had already demanded divorce. But then no one took it seriously and once the husband heard this, he considered it a joke.

Why she wanted divorce from her husband?

Actually, a young man (Kunal) living in Mangalam City, Jaipur was married to a girl Rani living in Pratapgarh as per the customs of Hindu religion a year ago. As soon as the marriage rituals were completed in the house of the groom who had reached Jaipur with the newly-wed bride, the bride talked about getting a divorce the very next day. Now, after celebrating the first anniversary of marriage, the wife repeated the same thing and asked for divorce. When the husband asked the reason for this, the wife told that she would get the benefit of divorce quota in the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) examination and that is why she had married, and asked for divorce the next day of marriage. Hearing this the husband clearly refused. But his wife threatened to send him to jail in a false case.

Pre-planned to take benefit of divorce quota

Within 1.5 months of the marriage, Neetu stopped all communication with Ravi. Anytime the duo would chat, the wife would only insist on husband giving her a divorce.

Victim registered FIR

After this, the victim Kunal visited the police station several times but the FIR was not registered. Now last Saturday, following the order of Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, a report has been registered at Kardhani police station.
