In 2012, he filed for divorce citing cruelty, but the court dismissed his plea stating insufficient evidence of cruelty.Despite having a daughter who resides with his wifes family, Sandip expresses his acceptance of this arrangement due to the violent environment at home, where he alleges his wife not only verbally abuses him but also physically assaults him at times. In June, Sandip lodged a complaint with Delhi Police regarding physical assault, but he claims no action was taken, highlighting previous encounters with police officials.
