Delhi Minister Atishi, during a press conference on Wednesday stated that the Enforcement Directorate officials were unable to provide the specifics of the case that prompted the crackdown and that it was established that the entire thing was done to malign Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal. The statement from Delhi minister came a day after the Directorate of Enforcement conducted raids on Aam Aadmi Party functionaries.

Bibhav Kumar, the personal assistant to the chief minister of Delhi, was the target of a 16-hour raid on Tuesday, but no seizures were made, according to the top AAP leader.

"The Bharatiya Janata Party and Prime Minister Narendra Modi know that there is only one leader who can challenge them, that is Kejriwal. So now ED has been openly tasked with putting all the leaders close to Kejriwal in jail," she said.
Atishi also said that whenever ED comes to raid someone, it clearly mentions under which case the raid is been conducted, but in yesterday's case ED did not mention the reason.

The raids by Enforcement Directorate were conducted at nearly 10 locations, including the premises of the party's Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta among others connected to AAP. These raids were part of a money laundering probe being conducted by the agency, according to the sources.

It is to be noted here that the raids have come even as the agency moved a Delhi court against the AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal for skipping its summons for the fifth time in a case linked to the Excise policy case. Before this, a team from the Delhi crime branch visited the residence of Arvind Kejriwal in civil lines and served a notice to join a probe into allegations that the BJP attempted to 'poach' MLAs to topple his government.
