The CWC, the Congress's highest decision-making body, convened an extended meeting at the Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi, where significant talks regarding the outcomes of the Lok Sabha election and future tactics took place. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, Sonia Gandhi, and party chief Mallikarjun Kharge were among the other prominent party figures present at this meeting.

It was unanimously demanded during the conference that Rahul Gandhi be appointed the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
