Who will be held responsible? 10 feared dead, 6 injured in Chhattisgarh's Bemetara after blast in explosive factory

Several people are feared dead and about 10 people have been injured after a massive explosion at a gunpowder factory in Chhattisgarh's Bemetara district. The explosion occured in the unit located near Pirda village in Beral development block. Emergency services including firefighters and ambulances have reached the incident spot while efforts are underway to rescue others trapped under the rubble. 

Several injured

According to the information, there was a crowd of people gathered around when the blast took place. Many injured in the incident have been referred to Mekahara Hospital in Raipur. Apart from this, many people have also been admitted to nearby hospitals.

After the blast in the gunpowder factory, there was a fear among the locals. However, the district administration team has also reached the spot. Along with this, fire brigade and ambulance teams have been sent to the spot. According to the information, the reason behind the blast has not been known yet. It is being told that the explosion was so powerful that electric wires hundreds of feet above were affected by it.

Reason still not clear

Regarding information about this matter, Bemetara Collector Ranbir Sharma said that as soon as the SDRF team arrives, the work of removing debris will be started immediately. Regarding what was the main reason for the incident, the Collector said that it would be difficult at all to tell the reasons due to which this incident happened. Because it was a gunpowder factory, chemicals were also there. But it is a little difficult to tell why this happened. He also said that I am talking to the operators of the factory, the current number of workers will be updated after getting the information.
