After CJI i.e. Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, Lok Sabha MP Nishikant Dubey has now mentioned the 10th CJI of India. He has written that former CJI Kailashnath Wanchoo did not have a law degree. Justice Wanchoo held the top post of the Supreme Court from 1967 to 1968. He was the 10th Chief Justice of the country.

MP Dubey wrote on X, 'Do you know that in 1967-68, Chief Justice of India Kailash Nath Wanchoo ji had not studied law.' Earlier, he had blamed CJI Khanna for the 'civil war' in India.

Who was Justice Kailash Nath Wanchoo
He was the first judge in his family. According to Law Trends, he passed the civil services exam in 1924 and later went to Britain to complete his training.

Who was Justice Kailash Nath 

According to reports, during his ICS training, he was taught about criminal law. After returning from training, he worked as a collector in Uttar Pradesh and gained popularity while holding this post.

This is how he became CJI
The story of Justice Wanchoo becoming the CJI is also very interesting. During that time, the then CJI K Subbarao resigned from the post to contest the presidential election . After this, Wanchoo was appointed the 10th CJI of India.

He assumed the post of Chief Justice of India on 24 April 1967. He remained in office for 10 months and announced his retirement on 24 February 1968. During his tenure, he delivered 355 judgments.
