Recently married and a glorious military heritage

Siddharth Yadav, a native of Majra Bhalkhi village in Rewari district in Haryana, had joined the IAF in 2017. He was from a family with a military background, as his father Sushil Kumar was an IAF retired person, and his grandfather Raghubir Singh and great-grandfather were Indian Army men. Siddharth had just received his Delhi-based fiancée's wedding rings on March 23, and arrangements for their wedding had begun to be made by the family.

Technical malfunction led to crash

The IAF states that a technical failure in the aircraft led to the crash.. . The pilots had started the ejection sequence, but Siddharth Yadav did not survive. The IAF has ordered a Court of Inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.

Family's pride and grief

Sushil Yadav, Siddharth's father, remembered his son as being a very sharp student who had always been an asset to the family. Sushil felt proud of having such a caring son, though he was equally saddened at having lost his single son.
