At Badlapur Station, Maharashtra Minister Girish Mahajan addressed the situation and said for the past 5-6 hours, protesters have been occupying the railway tracks, which is understandable given the heinous nature of the incident. However, it's essential to acknowledge the importance of the railway system as Mumbai's lifeline, catering to thousands of commuters daily.

The Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister have assured that a Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established to conduct a thorough and expedited inquiry. We demand quick punishment for the perpetrator and accountability for anyone found negligent in this matter, He further added. 

Shiv Sena leader demands justice for minor girl

Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Priyanka Chaturvedi condemned the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl at a Badlapur school, stating, this is a heartbreaking incident. Despite promises to fight for women's rights and deliver justice, such cases continue to be neglected once elections are over. The protesting women are demanding not benefits or schemes, but basic safety and security for themselves. How much longer will we deny women the justice they deserve?

Anil Deshmukh calls for urgent action

NCP-SCP leader Anil Deshmukh condemned the alleged sexual assault of two minor girls (both under four years old) at a school in Badlapur, Maharashtra, saying: "It's appalling that such a heinous crime occurred in a school. The management's inaction is inexcusable. While I welcome the state government's decision to form a Special Investigation Team (SIT), I demand swift action against the perpetrators. Furthermore, I'm disturbed to learn that the victims' family faced harassment while trying to file a complaint, being made to wait for 13 hours on August 16, four days after the incident. An investigation is necessary to determine why the police delayed registering the case.

Uddhav Thackeray demands strict action guilty

Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Uddhav Thackeray spoke out against the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl at a school in Badlapur stating, such heinous incidents should not occur anywhere in the country, not just Badlapur. We had planned to pass the Shakti Bill to address these issues, but our government was ousted. Now, it's the responsibility of the current ruling party to pass the bill and take stringent action. I've learned that the school where the incident took place is affiliated with the BJP, but I refuse to politicize this issue. Whoever is guilty, regardless of their political affiliation, must face severe consequences.

Priyank Kanungo demands accountability and action

NCPCR Chairperson Priyank Kanungo condemned the handling of the alleged sexual assault of a minor girl at a Badlapur school, stating, the school's response was appallingly insensitive, attempting to cover up the incident. Furthermore, the local police station failed to promptly register an FIR. To address this, a team will be dispatched to the site. I commend the Deputy CM of Maharashtra for taking decisive action, including removing the officers responsible for the delay. Additionally, accountability measures must be taken against the school administration and individuals who neglected to register the FIR and suppressed the case.
