The involvement of a TMC leader, Tajmul alias JCB, in the assault has particularly drawn scrutiny towards Mamata Banerjees party. The video, which depicts a woman being beaten on the road, has provoked public outrage. Who is Tajmul Tajmul is allegedly a local TMC leader of Chopra, where the incident occurred following a decision of a kangaroo court. He is famous for giving quick justice through his insaf sabha and is a close associate of Chopra MLA Hamidur Rahaman.
