Who is Shama Mohammed: Congress spokesperson Shama Mohammed is facing criticism for body-shaming Indian cricket team captain Rohit Sharma and calling him fitness-conscious. Shama Mohammed is facing criticism not only from cricket fans but also from political leaders. Shama Mohammed has called Rohit Sharma fat and also questioned his captaincy. After facing criticism, she later deleted her post

Shama Mohammed tagged Rohit Sharma on the post and wrote, '@ImRo45 is fat for a player! Need to lose weight! And yes, the most disappointing captain India has ever had.'

Bharatiya Janata Party leader Radhika Khera hit out at Mohammad for his comments on the Team India captain. She wrote, 'This is the same Congress that humiliated, discredited athletes for decades and now dares to mock a cricket legend? A party that thrives on nepotism is preaching to a self-made champion?' Taking a dig at Rahul Gandhi, Khera said, 'Rohit Sharma led India to a World Cup win while Rahul Gandhi can't even lead his own party without descending into chaos!'

However, despite the criticism, the Congress spokesperson stood by her words. Defending her comment, Shama Mohammed denied body-shaming Rohit Sharma and said that she thought he was a bit overweight. Talking to media reports, she wrote, 'It was a normal tweet about a player's fitness. It was not body shaming.

I have always believed that a player should be fit and I thought he was a bit overweight, so I just tweeted about him. I was attacked for no reason. When I compared him to previous captains, I made a statement. I have the right. What is wrong in saying this democracy.' But many cricket fans believe that if you stand by your words then why did you delete the post.
