Another horrific incident of lift crash has been reported from Paras Tierra Society in Sector 137, Noida where three occupants of the lift have been reported injured after it failed to apply breaks and shot through the rooftop of the top floor. The incident happened just months after an elderly lady died due to a lift crash.According to the witnesses, the incident happened when the lift was on the fourth floor of tower 5 and the occupants were exiting. Suddenly, brakes failed and the lift smashed against the top floor roof. Taking precautions, two other lifts of the tower have been closed temporarily for the residents. Meanwhile, the residents allege that poor maintenance led to the incident.The incident has triggered panic among people after the lift malfunctioned. It should be highlighted that several incidents of lift crashes have been reported in the past year. The shame even made the Uttar Pradesh government pass a law for proper upkeep of lifts. Not the first incidentAnother similar incident was reported a couple of months back when a lift crash claimed the lives of eight laborers after the lift of under construction building crashed at Amrapali Dream Valley Housing Society in Noida Extension.
