New Delhi: A political controversy has erupted in Uttar Pradesh following allegations of NEET paper leaks, with implications reaching into the state's political corridors. A viral video of MLA Bedi Ram from the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP), an ally of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has surfaced on social media. In the video, Bedi Ram allegedly discusses orchestrating recruitments through leaked exam papers, revealing a history that includes previous arrests related to paper leaks.

The Indian National Congress has pointed fingers at Bedi Ram, labeling him as the mastermind behind the NEET paper leak. Bedi Ram currently represents the Jakhania constituency in Ghazipur and faces allegations in an ongoing investigation regarding a significant land scam in Barabanki. Despite the allegations, neither Bedi Ram nor his party has issued any official statements in response. The SBSP, led by OP Rajbhar, has maintained silence amidst growing scrutiny.

Who is Bedi Ram? 

Bedi Ram is an MLA of Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP). He is originally from Jaunpur. He is also accused of a big land scam in Barabanki, the investigation of which is going on. The special thing is that his party is currently an ally of the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Uttar Pradesh. MLA Bedi Ram is considered to be the kingpin of the paper leak gang. Bedi Ram has been accused of leaking papers for recruitment exams in Himachal Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh. Bedi Ram has leaked Railway Recruitment Exam papers many times. In 2014, STF caught him from Lucknow in the case of Railway Loco Pilot paper leak.

Bedi Ram is in constant discussion after the video went viral on social media. In the video, he is claiming to get recruitment done by leaking the paper. Not only this, Bedi Ram himself has gone to jail in 2014 in a paper leak case. At that time, Gangster and National Security Act (NSA) were also imposed on him. He was also arrested by STF in the paper leak case.
