Gangster-turned-politician Mukhtar Ansari was laid to rest at the Kali Bagh burial ground in Ghazipur on Saturday. He was buried near his parents graves. Afzal Ansari claimed that no permission was needed to provide soil for the burial. He gave an open challenge to the authorities to stop him from doing the ritual.
