When will Delhi get relief from scorching heat? Here’s what IMD predicts

According to the recent update, many places of Delhi, NCR, Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad will witness light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-50 Km/h.

As people in North India have been facing severe heatwave conditions for the last several days are likely to get relief soon. The Indian Meteorological Department on Thursday announced that many places in Delhi, NCR ( Loni Dehat, Hindon AF Station, Bahadurgarh, Ghaziabad, Indirapuram, Chhapraula, Noida, Dadri, Greater Noida, Gurugram, Faridabad will witness light to moderate intensity rain and gusty winds with speed of 30-50 Km/h. 

Apart from this, Manesar, Ballabhgarh, Sonipat, Kharkhoda, Mattanhail, Jhajjar, Farukhnagar, Sohana, Palwal (Haryana) Baraut, Bagpat, Meerut, Khekra, Modinagar, Kithor, Pilakhua, Hapur, Gulaoti, Sikandrabad, Bulandshahar (U.P.) will also see some relief from the scorching heat during next 2 hours.

This has come after Delhi recorded its warmest night in last 14 years, with the minimum temperature reaching at least 8 degrees above the normal.

According to IMD, the monsoon is likely to reach Delhi and adjoining areas by June 30.

Death toll due to heatwave reaches 34

There is an increasing number of deaths from heat-related ailments as Delhi struggles with an extreme heatwave. As far as official reports go, at least 34 deaths in the capital city have been connected to ailments brought on by heat. This number includes suspected heat-related deaths as well as confirmed cases of heat stroke.

Delhi government hospitals have admitted 310 individuals with heat-related diseases in the last 48 hours alone; 14 of these patients have passed away. According to the reports, the majority of the people who were brought in bystanders at Deen Dayal Hospital were homeless and pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities have started post-mortem exams to determine the precise cause of death due to the abrupt increase in these cases during the past two days.
