A BJP worker has been shot dead in Nadia, West Bengal. The victim, Hafeezul Shaikh, had recently joined BJP. Police sources stated that Hafeezul was shot in the head at a tea shop on Saturday evening. The victim's family claims he was murdered due to his recent political affiliation. Both the accused and the victim have criminal records. The main suspect has been identified but not yet arrested.

TMC worker murdered before sixth phase

Just hours before the sixth phase of voting, a TMC worker was murdered in East Midnapore, and another was seriously injured. In Mahishadal, East Midnapore, TMC worker SK Moibul, the vice president of TMYC, was allegedly killed due to election rivalry. TMC alleges BJP involvement, and Mahishadal police have arrested five BJP workers.

Previously, there was a clash between BJP and TMC workers in Nandigram, resulting in the death of a woman BJP worker, Rathibala Aadi, and injuries to seven BJP workers. The incident occurred in Sonchura, Nandigram, on the night of May 22, where TMC workers allegedly attacked BJP workers with sharp weapons.
