In a shocking turn of events in Delhi, a couple was found dead in their home under suspicious circumstances, just days after the tragic suicide of businessman Punit Khurana. The police have confirmed that the couple, identified as Nitesh (32) and his 28-year-old wife, were found hanging from a ceiling fan at their residence in the Surender Colony area of North Delhi on Wednesday.
According to the police, a PCR call was received at 3:45 AM on Wednesday from the Wazirabad Police Station. Upon arrival at the scene, the authorities discovered the couple’s bodies in their bedroom. Both Nitesh, a contractual employee at the Delhi Jal Board, and his wife, who ran a beauty parlour, were found hanging. They had been living on the first floor of a four-story building, while Nitesh’s parents resided on the ground floor.
The couple’s four-year-old son woke up in the middle of the night, only to witness the tragic scene of his parents hanging from the ceiling. Distressed, the child went to his grandparents for help, and they rushed to the scene. They brought the bodies down, and authorities were notified shortly thereafter.
Police have indicated that no external signs of injury were found on the bodies, and no suicide note was discovered at the scene. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem, and the police have seized their mobile phones for further investigation. Authorities are still looking into the circumstances surrounding the couple’s death.
This tragic occurrence comes on the heels of a highly publicized suicide case involving businessman Punit Khurana. Khurana, who had accused his wife and in-laws of harassment, was found hanging at his residence in Kalyan Vihar. His case has sparked widespread discussion about personal and familial pressures leading to such heart-wrenching outcomes.
