Coming down heavily on Bhartiya Janata Party (BJP), the chief minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal lashed out saying that Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) is just a part of vote bank politics. While addressing a press conference on Wednesday Kejriwal lashed out at Centre saying that their action is just intended for vote-bank politics in the run-up to the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019, which expedites the naturalization process for illegal non-Muslim migrants from Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Afghanistan who arrived in India prior to December 31, 2014, was put into effect by the government on March 11. The CAA will now offer Indian nationality to the persecuted non-Muslim migrants from the three nations, including Hindus, Sikhs, Jains, Buddhists, Parsis, and Christians.

Will BJP be able to provide jobs to refugees, questions Arvind Kejriwal

Kejriwal further hit out at BJP questioning whether they will be able to give employment to the 3 crore minorities who came from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan after implementation of CAA.

He further added that a significant influx of minorities will occur within our nation. They'll get work, and housing will be constructed for them. The BJP wants to give jobs to youngsters from Pakistan, but they are unable to give jobs to our children. While many of our people are without homes, the BJP wants to bring in immigrants from Pakistan. They want to give jobs of our children to them.

They wish to establish Pakistanis in the homes that belong to us. Pakistanis will be settled in India using government funds that ought to be used for the advancement of our family and the nation.

He further asked people to express their anger against BJP and urged people not to vote in favor of BJP in upcoming Lok Sabha Elections 2024.
