Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath made a visit to Shaheed Ashfaq Ullah Khan Zoological Park on Sunday. He did detailed inspections and interactions with the zoo's wildlife. During his visit, Yogi Adityanath spent time inspecting the zoo’s majestic big cats.
He observed Bharat, a five-year-old lion, and Gauri, a seven-year-old lioness, who had recently been relocated from the Etawah Lion Safari. Adding to the excitement, another tiger, Babbar Sher Pataudi, made his presence known with a powerful roar during the Chief Minister’s tour.

The Chief Minister didn't just stop at the big cats. He also showed his affection for other animals in the zoo. He fed bananas to the zoo's resident rhino pair, Hari and Gauri. This interaction highlighted his interest in ensuring the well-being of all animals at the park.

Accompanied by DFO and Zoo Director Vikas Yadav, Yogi Adityanath received comprehensive updates on the care provided to the wildlife. He gave instructions to the zoo officials to maintain the highest standards of care for the animals, ensuring their health and safety.
Yogi Adityanath’s visit also included an inspection of the zoo hospital. He inquired about the methods used for rescuing and treating injured wildlife. Observing the treatment procedures and food quality, he interacted with the veterinary staff, showing a keen interest in the health of the animals under care.
This visit is not an isolated incident for Yogi Adityanath, who is well-known for his love of animals. Earlier, a video of him feeding milk to a leopard cub at the Gorakhpur Zoo went viral on social media.
