Three assailants shoot two men in broad day-light in Patna, video surfaces

New Delhi: A brazen daytime shooting in Patna, Bihar, has left one person dead and another injured. The incident, captured on CCTV, has sparked concerns about rising violence in the city.

Motorcycle attackers target youths

Three unidentified assailants, riding motorcycles and concealing their faces, targeted two young men in Patna's Phulwari Sharif area on Wednesday, June 5th. The attackers brandishing pistols chased down the victims, eventually opening fire.

One victim succumbs to injuries

The gunfire resulted in one fatality. Police are yet to release the deceased's identity. The other victim, identified as Suraj, sustained injuries but is reportedly recovering. Local authorities confirm Suraj has a history of criminal activity with over a dozen cases against him.

CCTV footage captures the attack

A CCTV video that was posted by an X user named Siraj Noorani captures the shocking scene. The footage shows the attackers abandoning their motorcycles on the road as they chase down the victims on foot, firing their weapons.

Police investigation underway

Patna police are currently investigating the incident. Their focus includes identifying the assailants, understanding the motive behind the attack, and determining if any connection exists between the victims. The CCTV footage is considered crucial evidence.
