New Delhi: A businessman from Haryana was rescued by Uttar Pradesh police following a dramatic car chase that ended in Greater Noida on Tuesday morning. The victim, Rajiv Mittal, was allegedly abducted by four men near Delhi airport.
Mittal, a resident of Ballabgarh in Haryana, was reportedly on his way to receive someone at the Delhi airport around 1 am when he was abducted. The kidnappers held him captive inside a Mahindra Scorpio and drove him around for several hours. Authorities believe they might have been attempting to reach Delhi from Greater Noida.
A routine patrol by the Knowledge Park police station near Greater Noida's Zero Point led to the discovery of the suspicious vehicle. Officers attempted to stop the car, but the abductors responded by speeding away and eventually crashing into a divider.

Taking advantage of the post-crash chaos, the four abductors fled the scene on foot. Fortunately, police found Mittal inside the car, albeit with his hands tied and injuries on his body. He received medical treatment at a nearby private hospital and is now recovering with his family.
The Greater Noida police have established contact with their Haryana counterparts, and Mittal's family has filed an official complaint. While further legal proceedings are underway, a search operation is ongoing to apprehend the perpetrators.
