The victims family members from her maternal home eventually arrived and freed her.FIR filed against in-lawsBased on the viral video and the womans complaint, the Quarsi police station has registered a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused in-laws. The woman alleges she was subjected to prolonged dowry harassment and molestation by her brother-in-law and father-in-law. When she resisted, they publicly humiliated and assaulted her as punishment.Dowry demands and escalating abuseAccording to the victim, married in February 2023, her family had offered a substantial dowry as per their means. However, soon after the wedding, her in-laws began demanding a motorbike. The harassment intensified after her fathers passing, who couldnt fulfill their additional demands.The woman narrates the horrific events of June 6, where she was tied to a tree and beaten by her in-laws. ASP Amrit Jain confirmed a case has been registered based on the complaint and a team has been formed to apprehend the accused.
