In Puri, Odisha, renowned sand artist Sudarshan Patnaik used 500 Shivalingas to build a sand sculpture of Lord Shiva. In Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Ajay Gupta, another sand artist, used cookies to create a facsimile of the Kedarnath shrine.Devotees have been praying at the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain since early Friday morning in honor of Maha Shivaratri, today. Hundreds of people poured inside the temple to beseech Lord Shiva with their prayers.
