The ED's searches extended to 17 locations associated with Amba Prasad, including her official residence in Ranchi. The Congress MLA, representing the Barkagaon assembly constituency in Hazaribag district, and her associates were subjects of the investigation.

Prasad's family members also weighed in on the situation. Her mother, Nirmala Devi, a former legislator, expressed shock at the raids and suggested they were orchestrated to undermine Prasad's morale ahead of the upcoming Lok Sabha polls.
