A shocking video has been circulating on social media, capturing a violent altercation between two groups in Udupi, a coastal town in Karnataka. The incident occurred on May 18 and left one person injured. The confrontation involved six people, and police have so far arrested two individuals, while the other four remain at large. Authorities have reported that the fight erupted over a financial dispute.

A video was recorded by a resident from a nearby high-rise building shows the involvement of two Maruti Swift cars. The police have organized a search team to locate the four men who are still missing. In the footage, one car is seen reversing at high speed and crashing into the bonnet of the other car, which caused black smoke to emerge. Moments later, men from both vehicles exited and began a physical confrontation. During the fight, one of the cars hit a man wielding a stick, throwing him to the ground and injuring him.

The incident also sparked political commentary, with BJP Karnataka criticizing the state's Congress government. They posted on social media, "Karnataka model! Gang wars, rape of young women, assault, murder, bomb blasts, ganja, opium, rave parties, including Pakistan Zindabad slogans etc. Karnataka Congress are common under government rule. Anarchy is created today as a result of the government giving a free hand to the terrorists, fanatics, thugs, miscreants. Siddaramaiah is making the police a puppet. This is the Karnataka model that Congress is showing to the country!"

Netizens demand strict action against culprits

The video quickly garnered attention on social media, prompting a variety of reactions. Dr. Durgaprasad Hegde, an orthopaedic surgeon, shared the video on X, calling for stringent action against the culprits. He expressed concern over the recent gang fight in Udupi, which took place late at night on the Udupi-Manipal highway near Kunjibettu. He questioned the direction in which the younger generation is heading and called for strict action against those involved.

Local authorities are under pressure to apprehend the remaining suspects and bring justice to those involved in the violent altercation. The police have urged the public to come forward with any information that could assist in the investigation.
