New Delhi: Two Muslim men were allegedly beaten to death by cow vigilantes in Raipur, Chhattisgarh, in the early hours of Friday, June 7. The incident has sparked outrage and raised concerns about growing vigilantism.

Deadly encounter during transportation of buffaloes

According to reports, Chand Miya and Guddu Khan were transporting buffaloes in a truck when they were intercepted by a group of cow vigilantes near the Arang Police Station area around 3 am. The vigilantes, suspecting cattle smuggling, attacked the men.

Brutal assault leaves two dead, one injured

The assault turned deadly, with Chand Miya and Guddu Khan succumbing to their injuries at the scene. A third man, Saddam Khan, was also injured in the attack and is currently undergoing treatment.

Buffaloes transported for sale

Reports indicate the buffaloes being transported were intended for sale at a market in Odisha. The fate of the animals remains unclear.

Accused flee the scene, investigation launched

All the individuals involved in the attack are currently absconding. Police have launched a manhunt to apprehend the accused and an investigation into the incident is underway.
