Uttarakhand News: A harrowing case has surfaced in Dehradun, Uttarakhand, where a minor girl accused her stepfather of repeatedly raping her over a span of three years. The victim, now residing in Maharashtra, revealed her traumatic ordeal to her mother, prompting the filing of a Zero FIR at the Parvati police station in Pune. The case has since been transferred to Dalanwala, Dehradun, where the crime allegedly took place.Allegations of years of abuseAccording to the complaint, the victim lived with her mother and stepfather in Dehradun from 2018 to 2021. During this period, she alleges that her stepfather raped her multiple times. The victim only disclosed the abuse to her mother after relocating to Pune this year. Following her revelation, the mother sought help from an NGO, which provided the victim with counseling.Police action and arrestAfter the victims magisterial statement was recorded, and an investigation confirmed the crime scene as the accuseds home in Dalanwala, Dehradun, the local police took swift action. SSP Ajay Singh confirmed that the accused was arrested after the FIR was transferred from Pune to Dalanwala. “The place of the incident has been verified as the house where the accused resided with the victim and her mother,” said Singh.The accused was produced in court following his arrest, where he was remanded to judicial custody. The investigation is ongoing, and further details are expected to emerge as authorities delve deeper into the case.
