Uttarakhand: Newlywed bride shocks family, leaves husband for lover

A married woman from Garur district left her husband and went to live at her lover's house. This left both her in-laws and her own family confused. Family members tried persuading her to return to her in-laws' home, but she remained firm on staying at her lover's house.

New Delhi: Shocking news has come to light from Uttarakhand's Bageshwar district where after two months of the wedding, the newlywed insisted on leaving her in-laws' home to live with her lover. The wedding went very well. Both the bride's and groom's families were happy. The bride bid farewell to her parents' home after seven ceremonial rounds. She also enjoyed her honeymoon with the groom and stayed comfortably at his home for two months.

However, two months later, something happened that shocked everyone. When the relatives discovered the newlywed's decision, even the police were surprised. The newlywed insisted on leaving her in-laws' home to live with her lover.

Family members tried persuading her to return to her in-laws' home, but she remained firm on staying at her lover's house. After numerous attempts failed, an agreement was reached for the in-laws to pay the wedding expenses. 

Two months prior, a woman from Pingal district had married a young man from a village near Garur. However, she was unhappy with her husband's home. She threatened to leave her husband and moved to her lover's house on Monday. She had not told anyone about her love affair, before the wedding. She kept the affair hidden from both her family and in-laws.

Investigation is underway 

This case reached the Deputy Inspector of Revenue. Later, an agreement was reached with the in-laws to return all the wedding expenses and jewelry. The married woman then moved to her lover's home. This incident is widely discussed throughout the region. 
Revenue Deputy Inspector Mohan Singh Basera mentioned that both sides have come to an understanding, and no written complaint has been filed in the case.
