Noida International Airport (ANI)

In a significant advancement for aviation infrastructure in Uttar Pradesh, plans are underway to establish a major Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) hub adjacent to the Noida International Airport. According to a recent report by The Times of India, the airport authority is set to issue an Expression of Interest (EOI) for this project in September. The proposed facility will be a comprehensive complex offering MRO services right next to the Jewar Airport.

Expansion Under Phase Two of the Jewar Project

This development is part of the second phase of the Jewar Airport project. To accommodate the MRO hub, approximately 1,365 hectares of land will need to be allocated. This land will be dedicated specifically to the MRO operations and related activities. The Uttar Pradesh government, under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has already commenced the process of land acquisition for this purpose.

Government Incentives to Attract Global Players

The Noida International Airport Ltd is actively engaging with several international entities to participate in this initiative. To incentivize global companies, the UP government has introduced a specialized MRO policy offering subsidies ranging from 5% to 12%. This move is expected to attract significant interest and investment in the MRO sector.

Surge in Land Prices in Jewar

According to Business Today, Jewar has witnessed a remarkable 400% increase in land prices over the past six years. As reported, the cost of one hectare of land has surged from Rs 25 lakh in 2018 to Rs 1.5 crore currently, reflecting the growing demand and investment in the region.
