New Delhi: A horrific incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Etah where in a mutual dispute, an angry nephew attacked his aunt with a hammer on Monday. He also hit his mother who came to rescue her. Both aunt and mother were taken to the hospital. After reaching the doctors declared the aunt dead. The condition of the injured mother is said to be critical. On receiving the information, ASP Dhananjay Kushwaha, CO and other police officers reached the spot.
This incident is from Mohalla Sarai Khanam of Kotwali Jalesar. A 40-year-old Mahadevi lived with her nephew Tinku and his mother Geeta Devi. Allegedly at 2 pm, the aunt and nephew argued. It is being told that nephew Tinku attacked Aunt Mahadevi with a hammer on her head several times.
Seeing Mahadevi being attacked, Tinku's mother Geeta Devi ran to save her. When Geeta Devi stopped her son, he attacked her. After this, Tinku hit himself with a hammer too. Hearing the screams, people from the neighbour reached at the scene.
Somehow, all three were admitted to the hospital. And the doctors declared Mahadevi dead. Seeing the critical condition of mother and son, they were referred to Agra. The hammer was found lying in the drain near the door of the house.
Police claim that the aunt and nephew lived together and there was a dispute over something. The reason behind the incident is said to be that there was a fight between Tinku's sister Pooja and aunt over washing clothes on Monday. The police took the body in custody and sent it for post-mortem. A case has been registered. Authorities are searching for the deceased's husband.
When the police reached the spot after getting the information, they found all three lying in a blood-soaked state in the room. The deceased's husband Dambar Singh was not found at the spot and he did not come even later.
CO Jaleshwar Krishnamurari said that the husband was not found at the spot and he did not come home till late evening. He is also being searched for.
