Uttar Pradesh: Muslim men rape class 8 student, force her to read Namaaz

The victim lodged a complaint with the Kotwali police station on August 31. Following the report, authorities have arrested one of the accused, Rizwan, who is now in custody. The other two suspects, Wasim and Roju, are currently on the run, and the police are actively working to apprehend them.

Crime News: A distressing case has emerged involving allegations of sexual assault and religious coercion in Baghpat, Uttar Pradesh. A Class 8 student has accused three local youths of sexually assaulting her and then pressuring her to convert to Islam. The victim's complaint details that the accused, Rizwan, Wasim, and Roju, initially enticed her before committing the assault. Following the incident, they allegedly forced her to adopt Islamic practices, including reading Namaaz and wearing a hijab.

Details of incident

According to the victim, the assault occurred after the three boys lured her into a trap. Post-assault, Rizwan reportedly coerced her into converting to Islam, threatening to release compromising videos if she did not comply. The victim disclosed that Rizwan conducted video calls to instruct her on Islamic customs and practices.

Police response

The case has provoked public outrage. Members of local Hindu organizations have staged protests, calling for stringent action against the accused and justice for the victim. 

CO Baghpat, Harish Bhadoria, confirmed that a case has been registered and assured that efforts are ongoing to capture the remaining suspects.
