Uttar Pradesh: Man released from prison slit his throat in front of girlfriend's mother

Crime News: In a shocking incident from Uttar Pradesh's Unnao, a man recently released from jail took a drastic step. He slit his own throat in front of his girlfriend's mother in Ganjmuradabad village. He was released 15 days ago. 

The young man had previously been jailed for eloping with a teenage girl from his neighborhood six months ago. The girl's mother had lodged a complaint against him. Following the incident, the police recovered the girl and sent the man to jail. 

Horrifying act of desperation

On Thursday evening, the young man visited the girl's house, where an argument ensued between him and the girl's mother. The heated exchange escalated, and both parties moved to a public representative's meeting place near the outpost complex on Hardoi-Unnao road.

In a dramatic turn of events, the young man, in an attempt to express his love and desperation, slit his own throat with a sharp weapon in front of his girlfriend's mother and other witnesses. 

Immediate medical attention

After the incident, people at the scene rushed him to the Community Health Center (CHC). The doctors at CHC provided first aid and then referred him to the district hospital due to his critical condition.

Police investigation underway

Upon receiving the information, the police began their investigation into the incident. The authorities are looking into the circumstances that led to this extreme act and are questioning all involved parties to piece together the sequence of events.
