Details of incident

A transgender was walking near the Kanwar camp close to Ghukna Cut on Meerut Road. Kanwariyas began assaulting transgender alleging that they had entered the camp with the intention of stealing. Upon receiving the report, police from Sihani Gate responded to the incident and intervened.

However, the Kanwariyas persisted in beating the transgender, even in the presence of law enforcement. As the situation escalated, police managed to rescue the transgender from the Kanwariyas and brought her to the police station in a car.

Misunderstanding leads to confrontation

Initial inquiries revealed no evidence of attempted theft by the transgender, suggesting that the incident was the result of a misunderstanding. After questioning, the transgender individual was released from custody.

Police said that the Kanwariyas were very angry and when police attempted to take the transgender into custody, they tried to retrieve her from the authorities. As police escorted transgender to their car, the Kanwariyas blocked the car's path and started beating on the bonnet. Despite the intense opposition, police managed to leave the spot.
