Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav has voiced strong criticism regarding the renaming initiative. In a social media post, Yadav urged the BJP government to focus not just on name changes but also on improving the conditions of the railway stations. He emphasized the need for prioritizing safety and addressing infrastructure issues. “There is a request to the BJP government to change not just the names but also the conditions of the railway stations. …And when you get free time from changing names, then take some time out and think about preventing record-breaking railway accidents,” Yadav posted on X.
