Crime News: A horrifying incident has come to light from Uttar Pradesh's Bahraich where a father named Naeem, who is a farmer, has been arrested after he brutally murdered his 18-year-old daughter, Khushboo, by using an axe to sever her head, arms and legs. The dismembered body was found on a roadside, leaving the villagers in shock and horror. Witnesses who saw the scene were deeply traumatized and unable to approach.
The incident took place in Nibiya village, part of the Motipur police jurisdiction. Naeem's rage was triggered by his daughter’s alleged romantic involvement with a young man from a neighbouring village. Khushboo had previously left with her boyfriend, prompting Naeem to file a complaint with the police. The authorities managed to recover her and advised the boyfriend to stay away, but the relationship continued to fuel Naeem's anger.
On the morning of the crime, Khushboo’s boyfriend visited the village, which further infuriated Naeem. He called his daughter outside and, in a fit of rage, attacked her with an axe. After the initial assault, Khushboo, severely injured and bleeding, was left on the street. Naeem then used a stone grinder to dismember her body, leaving the remains scattered.

Upon receiving information about the incident, police officers, including CO Hira Lal Kanaujia and SHO Rakesh Pandey, arrived at the scene. They found Naeem sitting beside the dismembered body, apparently courageous by his actions. When questioned, Naeem maintained a calm demeanor and insisted that he had done nothing wrong, claiming that he had repeatedly tried to reason with Khushboo, who had not heeded his warnings.
Naeem was immediately taken into custody, and the body was sent for a post-mortem examination. The authorities are investigating the case, focusing on Naeem's objections to his daughter’s relationship and how these led to such a brutal act.
The brutal murder has left Naeem's family, particularly his two other daughters, traumatized and fearful. They were reportedly too terrified to intervene or seek help during the attack. The village is reeling in shock, with residents expressing outrage and disbelief at the father's heinous actions.
Additional Superintendent of Police Pavit Mohan Tripathi has confirmed that the main reason for the crime was Naeem's strong disagreement with his daughter's choice of partner, which ultimately led to the tragic incident. The investigation is ongoing with a clear focus on gathering all the necessary information to understand the entire situation and ensuring that justice is served for the victim.
